Curator Series _002

STRATEAS CARLUCCI  feature Margaret Zhang in the second instalment of the Curator Series

She is a gentle soul, but don’t be fooled, she is a force to be reckoned with and her reputation is evidence of her determination. Margaret Zhang is a modern woman, a multi-faceted, multi-talented, multi-tasker. Not only is she a well-respected influencer, photographer, stylist, writer and all round creative, however she is also a student completing her law degree. Her ambition is undeniable and monumental, but so is her infectious smile.

Margaret has worked in many creative capacities with global brands such as Louis Vuitton and Swarovski, and her work is often employed and featured by major printed and online publications such as of L’Officiel and Harper’s BAZAAR.

Zhang’s work has been recognized by industry heavyweights by being included in the Business of Fashion BoF500 Index, and ELLE Magazine’s Best Digital Influencer of The Year Award.

Margaret Zhang’s personal style has been described by Zhang herself as ‘boyish’, often mixing masculine and feminine elements. For this reason, STRATEAS CARLUCCI, caught the attention of Zhang, as the brand has built its collections around gender fluidity, masculine vs feminine, construction and tailoring.

“Since establishing Strateas Carlucci, the boys have been quite overachievers. Their aesthetic is consistent, and unlike so many in an increasingly mass-produced and image-driven market, maintain attention to textile innovation and development. This kind of clarity of branding and direction is so rare in young brands, let alone those who work across both menswear and womenswear.”
Zhang met the designers Peter Strateas and Mario-Luca Carlucci at an industry event in 2015, and since then, Zhang has been an avid supporter.

Zhang has showcased STRATEAS CARLUCCI in a number of shoots including Vogue Italia to most recently featuring STRATEAS CARLUCCI in her upcoming photo book In The Youth of Our Fury, shot on Australian model Jessica Gomes.
