“PYRITE” draws inspiration from the natural mineral itself, which is usually found in cubic crystal formations and clusters. Motivated by how a natural mineral can repel against nature and form, into what appears like “man-made” cubic crystals, led STRATEAS CARLUCCI to the exploration of “opposition” in natural fibres. This concept was applied to the fabrication, by repelling against the cloths natural properties and the way in which it would naturally drape and fall. This “opposition” created pyrite-like cubic structures in the shape and form of the individual garments.
